Hi,
I've exported the xml file, saved it into a template file and after having modified it I import it again. I see my modifies but all the groups looks like doubled..
Is there a way to reset the current template file and after importing the modified one? In that way I would have only the ones I modified and not those one plus the one not modified.

Let me explain it better just in case you haven't got it.

Let's pretend I have 3 templates.

template1 template 2 template 3

Now I want to modify something into the template 1. So I export the xml, I do the modify and then I re-import it.

When I do that I got something like that

Template 1 Template2 Template 3 Template 1

The last Template 1 is the old version of the one I've created.
Is there a way to reset all the templates and then go on and import the file again?

Thanks for your support.

If you look in your Thunderbird profile folder (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder), you find a folder called Quicktext. In that folder you find templates.xml. While Thunderbird is closed you can manually edit that file (it looks exactly like the file you get when you export). Just make sure you backup that file.

And be sure that you know what you are doing before you editing it.
