I downloaded, took the ".zip" off the extension, ran through the installation procedures: http://extensions.hesslow.se/text/2/Getting+Started/
All good up to the point where Thunderbird restarts.

But when it restarts there is no message greeting me for the first time of running Quicktext, nor does Quicktext appear anywhere, not even in the list of extensions.

I've tried this several times - each time the Thunderbird restarts but the extension doesn't show up. Are there some manual install instructions?

I'm on Mac OS X Leopard, using Thunderbird 2.0.0.9

Strangely, I got it to work by downloading it with a different browser.
