Where do you download it from. This site or addons.mozilla.org? Could you email me the file you downloaded (emil@hesslow.se).

I had the same problem. I downloaded Quicktext 0.9.9.9.xpi from this site, attempted to install. Thunderbird (v. 1.5.0.9 for Windows XP) would not install: error thrown at install was:

"Not a valid install package".

Download was via Firefox v1.5.0.10 on Windows XP.

Thanks for any info: I really need the functionality of this extension or I will be forced to return to using Eudora...

Sounds very strange. Could you send me the file that you downloaded?

How did you install it? Downloaded the file from this site, open Thunderbird and when to Tools -> Extensions and then click installed and chose the file.
