The problem persists with Quicktext 0.9.11.5 on TB 17.

I also see this with Quicktext 0.9.11.5 in TB17 (17.0.7+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1) on Ubuntu 12.04. It used to work for me, but hasn't worked for 1.5 years or so. Maybe the issue only appears on Linux? There are no errors in the error log.

The only difference is that the [[CURSOR]] text doesn't disappear and has to be deleted before entering text.

I have this problem with TB24.3 and Quicktext 0.9.11.5 (also) - I'll upgrade, and hope it will be resolved soon.

same here, text mail, 9.11.5, [[CURSOR]] is not replaced. Will it be fixed, or is there something I can do? Thanks!

I'm having a related issue using

Thunderbird 52.1.1
Quicktext 0.9.11.7

When using "Insert as Text", the [[CURSOR]] tag is interpreted and the cursor is moved to the intended position.
When using the "Insert as HTML" option though, the [[CURSOR]] tag is displayed as is in the email.
