I have had to reinstall WindowsXP, ThunderBird6 and QuickText on a new hard drive. I can access the old C: hard drive to get files.
How do I get my old templates from the old C: drive and put them on the new C: drive?
Thanks for your help, and for all your good work on QuickText.

Although this is an old question, I can help you with this. 1. Shut down Thunderbird 2. On your new C drive, using Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer!), go to where your emails are stored (the place where there are subfolders called e.g. Cache, chrome, extensions, Mail, etc. There should be a folder called quicktext and in that folder, a file called templates.xml. 3. Make a backup copy of that templates.xml, calling it e.g. templates_old.xml. 4. Find the same folder and templates.xml file on your old C drive and copy it to a stick or, if it is inside your tower, copy it over to your new C drive. That should work ok because the templates.xml file is where your quicktext templates are.
