Hi folks,
I want to send out a personalised newsletter like:

"Dear Mr. Miller,
happy new year to you!"

I replace the Miller by "[[TO=lastname]]", as I want all groupmembers to get their individual name in their mails.

But when I send a mail to my group as usual, i.e. as BBC (create new mail to "group"), it does not work at all, giving out
"Dear ".
When I change the bbc to default setting "to", it says:

"Dear Mr. Miller, Jones, Edwards, Smith, ..."
showing all names of the whole group which is also not what I fancy.
How can I fix that?

Regards
Dirk

It is not possible to do in Quicktext. And there is no easy way for me to implement it.

Thanks for the quick answer and of course for Quicktext! As there is no alternative extension for Thunderbird with this feature I have to look for s.th. else to use for my business. But for private mails this is just fine.
Carry on doing that good job!
Dirk
