Hi, using latest Quicktext, Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 on Ubuntu. Export creates an xml files but files are not readable as they contain binary characters. Basically every asci char is followed by a binary char. Here is a sample of file opened in text editor (after editor complained about binary chars): <FF><FE><^@?^@x^@m^@l^@ ^@v^@e^@r^@s^@i^@o^@n^@=^@"^@1^@.^@0^@"^@?^@>^@ ^@<^@q^@u^@i^@c^@k^@t^@e^@x^@t^@ ^@v^@e^@r^@s^@i^@o^@n^@=^@"^@2^@"^@>^@ ^@ ^@<^@f^@i^@l^@e^@t^@y^@p^@e^@>^@t^@e^@m^@p^@l^@a^@t^@e^@s^@<^@/^@f^@i^@l^@e^@t^@y^@p^@e^@>^@ ^@ ^@<^@m^@e^@n^@u^@>^@ ^@ ^@ ^@<^@t^@i^@t^@l^@e^@>^@<^@!^@[^@C^@D^@A^@T^@A^@[^@G^@e^@n^@e^@r^@i^@c^@]^@]^@>^@<^@/^@t^@i^@t^@l^@ e^@>^@ ^@ ^@ ^@<^@t^@e^@x^@t^@s^@>^@
Hex Dump of few first lines of the file shows: hexdump Desktop/test.xml 0000000 feff 003c 003f 0078 006d 006c 0020 0076 0000010 0065 0072 0073 0069 006f 006e 003d 0022 0000020 0031 002e 0030 0022 003f 003e 000a 003c 0000030 0071 0075 0069 0063 006b 0074 0065 0078 0000040 0074 0020 0076 0065 0072 0073 0069 006f 0000050 006e 003d 0022 0032 0022 003e 000a 0009 0000060 003c 0066 0069 006c 0065 0074 0079 0070 0000070 0065 003e 0074 0065 006d 0070 006c 0061 0000080 0074 0065 0073 003c 002f 0066 0069 006c 0000090 0065 0074 0079 0070 0065 003e 000a 0009 00000a0 003c 006d 0065 006e 0075 003e 000a 0009 00000b0 0009 003c 0074 0069 0074 006c 0065 003e 00000c0 003c 0021 005b 0043 0044 0041 0054 0041 00000d0 005b 0047 0065 006e 0065 0072 0069 0063 00000e0 005d 005d 003e 003c 002f 0074 0069 0074 00000f0 006c 0065 003e 000a 0009 0009 003c 0074
