| How do I delete all groups and templates at once. Currently if I want to import a new set of groups/templates I have to delete each one individually which is very time consuming. Also using import on start up just duplicates the groups/templates making it pointless? |
I had the same issue. Here is how I fixed it.
1: find the default quicktext template here:
-> C:/Users/*username*/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/*letters-and-numbers*/TEMPLATE.XML
2: open the xml file with notepad ++ or other programming software.
3: Erase all information within <menu> tags </menu>. including the tags themselves.
DO NOT ERASE FILETYPE OR QUICKTEXT TAGS
4: save your file. Close and re-open thunderbird.
