Is Quicktext compatible with the recently released Thunderbird 2.0 (released April 17, 2007)?

I'm reluctant to upgrade Thunderbird to 2.0 since I use Quicktext every day and I don't want it to be broken!

I have just tested and I had no problem. To be on the save side you can always export your templates and scripts so if something happens (which I don't see how) you can't lose them.

Since some month I run Quicktext with Thunderbird 2.0
First the Beta1, then Beta2, RC1 and now the final version.
There are absolutely no problems.

"Install Script Not Found"--I downloaded Quicktext, tried to install and this is the error message I'm getting. I just downloaded Thunderbird 2.0 this morning, have never used Quicktext before. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas? Thanks,

Quicktext 0.9.9.9 doesn't seem to be compatible with Thunderbird 2.0.0.6. It's a disappointment, because I love Quicktext so dearly. When will it be updated? Or have I missed something?

Quicktext 0.9.9.9 works perfectly with Thunderbird 2.0.0.6.

My guess is that you try to install it in Firefox. Please read the Getting Started guide http://extensions.hesslow.se/text/2/Getting+Started/ how to install it in Thunderbird.

I just moved to a new computer and was unable to install Quicktext 0.9.9.9 on my Thunderbird 2.0.0.6.

Of course the same version was working on my old computer, so it does work on Thunderbird 2.0.0.6, but can't be installed on it. It can be installed on earlier Thunderbird releases and then upgraded without losing functionality.

So what can I do? Could someone help please? I love Quicktext and will have so much more work without being able to use it now. Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to download the file not try to install it in Firefox.

Thank you! My problem was that I unzipped it first. If I tried to install the zip file itself then it works. I'm so relieved!
