Hi, I use quicktext on version 2.0.0.23 and I am trying to help a co-worker install in their machine using the same program. I finally got it to show up in the add-ons box but it keeps stating that it is "Not compatible with version of Thunderbird" - we have uninstalled & reinstalled a few times. Thanks for your help as this is a really great feature!

| I have done so exactly, a few times actually. It shows up in the add-ons box but I can only uninstall it, not that it is actually installed because we can't use it. |

| Ok, let me try to explain this again. I followed the instructions on your website above for installation. Once I get to step 3 I do not see a thank you, then at step 4 it is not in Tools menu. So I click on Add-Ons instead, which is where I see Quick Text with only an option to uninstall and it states: "Not compatible with version of Thunderbird" |

Could you test with a new profile? Just to see if it something strange with your profile.
Because it is so strange that Thunderbird lets you install the extension but then say it is not compatible. Could you send me a screenshot to emil AT hesslow . se |
| I have this same problem after upgrading to the latest Thunderbird (3.0.1). Thunderbird says that it is installed but is incompatible. When browsing addons.mozilla.org with the "Compatible with..." filter on, QuickText doesn't show up under versions 3.1 and 3.2. :( |
| OH - the download off of your website works, so the addons.mozilla.org one must be out of date. |
It is the same version. What exactly is the error message you get when you tried to install from addons.mozilla.org?
And yes Quicktext don't support 3.1 and 3.2 because they are not released yet. |
| Sorry for a simple minded question, but how do i determine what version of Quicktext I have? Do I need to upgrade I'm running TB 2.0...; and have been using Quicktext for several years. A terrific tool and one that I would hate to lose if/when I go to TB 3. Running under W/7. Thanks. |
| Under Tools -> Addons you see the version you are using. |
| Thanks. It's 0.0.10... and "up to date." This will work with TB 3.0 w/o hiccups? |
| 0.9.10.1 is the latest version and the version that works with Thunderbird 3. |
