I never got it to install. In my extensions menu it says it will install when Thunderbird is restarted. I've done that over 10 times. When I click to uninstall it the same problem. I had no previous versions installed and this was my only extension. Thunderbird version 1.5.0.8 (20061025) (latest). How can I uninstall it with Explorer file manager? |

I can't find that folder or the file. I used Explorer and also Search. There is a JavaScript error: ExtensionManager:_finishOperations - failure, catching exception - lineno: 3118 - file: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Thunderbird/components/nsExtensionManager.js - TypeError: oldLocation has no properties.

............................................. WizKid 2006-10-04 09:29:02 One thing that have worked for some that you can try is: 1. Close Thunderbird 2. Locale your Thunderbird profile folder. 3. In the extensions folder there is a folder called "{8845E3B3-E8FB-40E2-95E9-EC40294818C4}". Backup it and then remove it. 4. In the profile folder there is a file called extensions.cache. Backup it and then remove it. 5. Now start Thunderbird and cross your fingers that everything works. |
In the Thunderbird profile remove "extensions.cache" and "extensions.rdf" and in the "extensions"-folder remove the "staged-xpis"-folder. The two first files should be regenerated and the folder isn't needed but to be on the sure side make a backup of all the files before removing them. |
I must be getting dense in my old age. :-) I searched and found the "extensions.rdf" file and deleted it. However, I can't locate: "extensions.cache" , and in the "extensions"-folder remove the "staged-xpis"-folder.
In Explorer/Program Files/Mozilla Thunderbird I just don't see them nor will they appear in a search of my hard drive. |
