Thunderbird 17 rolled out today and I found whenever I went to compose a message it'd crash. After disabling quicktext it stopped. The problem is, I use it heavily. Is there anyone working on updating the add-on to work with the new version(s)?
I have been willing to pay for it, but since development stopped it seemed moot to. |

| Same as above, crash when composing new message. TB 17 + QTPro 0.9.11.3 + Win XP. Hopefully author updates plugin. I just purchased a 25 user license in June! |
Yes, here, too. I followed the bug report to Bugzilla and it's known that QuickText is the issue, but it doesn't look like they're having much success rectifying it yet. I had to disable QuickText and the update is fine without it, but I use this add-on constantly to help communicate with my clients. I really hope it is fixed soon!

On TB 17 Quicktext crashes non-stop Thunderbird so that i have made an rollback to TB 16.0.2 so that i can use QT and TB again... not the best solution but currently the only one |

| Just wanted to add my name to the list in case the developer happens to read these forums. TB 17.0 crashes every time I want to compose a message (or reply, or forward), unless I disable QT. Please help! |
I've been happy to pay for Quicktext Pro over the years, but now I'm thinking this is the end as we have known about this problem for months.
Is there anyway we can fork this project? Can some recommend a developer that could fix this code for us? |
I too wish QuickText and the latest Thunderbird would behave together, but in the meantime I'm using 'Clippings' which although not as good is certainly getting me through!

Emil has just posted a beta, 9.11.4. He wrote me directly in response to my message to him, and asked me to test, so far it's working fine. So he IS on the job!
